New flagship store for DCD

DCD has a new home that is bigger cuter and more inspiring on Juicy.

After getting down to only 11 prims at the Dreyfus store I decided it was soon going to be time to move, just as the decision was made Gorgeous Yongho sent a message to say she had a spot on the Juicy sims and after talking it through with my SLister, it was going to be such a huge move as it over doubled possibly tripled the space, jumped at the opportunity and within the week our new home arose.

We couldn't just have the store without a touch of Sway so added the cute beach hut (with a LM giver to her store obviously). I am planning on adding 7Seas fishing at some point in the future and may even hold a few tournaments.

The store currently has 3 rooms, the main room has the gift cards, information, group joiners etc. and will have a discount section added to it later. The second is the main room with all the ladies sets split between regular and goth style, the third room contains the mens and unisex items and also separates i.e. piercings and tiaras/circlets, hopefully all easy to see and find.

I hope everyone likes the store as much as I do and if anyone has any constructive criticism please do IM me inworld, if it's not implemented it's not because I didn't pay attention it would be that it wasn't feasible or didn't work.

The Wash 10L Cart Sale Black Event

It's been quiet here at DCD due to RL getting in the way as it always does but there are four events coming up in November and December. The first is The Wash 10L Cart Sale black themed event, as always there are lots of bargains waiting for you to snap them up at a measly 10L each and lets face it we all love that much of a bargain.

One Voice Fundraiser

The One Voice fundraiser has been set up to assist Gala Phoenix of Curio skins raise the money to fight an Sler that has taken her to court (see Curio blog for details).

Well over 100 stores are taking part in this event donating either 100% or 50% of sales to the cause. The show of solidarity between the content creators is overwhelming and hopefully sending out a strong message to intellectual property thieves that we will not stand back and let our hard work be stolen unchallenged.

I have made 2 sets for the event both L$295:

This partial mesh necklace and earring set donates 100%.

This necklace and earring set with the triquetra symbol has colour change gems with 6 colours to choose from and donates 50%.

You can also buy both these sets, both donating to the fundraiser, and a donation jar in store.

Texture change Cameo choker

This classic styled choker comes with 5 different velvet textures and 5 different cameo textures to choose from allowing for 25 combinations.

A little dearer at L$245 due to the extra work in creating 10 textures but still a good price.

Summer by the Sea Gacha festival

I love Gachas so when I heard about the Summer by the Sea Gacha festival I couldn't wait to sign up, it's only on for a week so make sure you run down and take part.

I have made these cute bead bracelets with tinted colours in them and mesh pendants of a butterfly, dolphins and a unicorn.

There are 12 to collect, 9 common and 3 rares.

The Accessories Hunt (TAH)

Sorry to be posting this at the start of the last week but it's been one of those months.

There are 55 stores taking part in the hunt, DCD is number 35. I spent a week on great gifts, one each for male and female and at the last minute it wouldn't go together so I had to scrap the whole lot and start again with only a day before the hunt opened so the gift isn't as great as I had hoped but worked hard all day to get this to look as good as it could be for you.

The item is unisex and mod to size up for you hunky men (as always please make a copy before adjusting).

Yet another great event from The Wash and as usual all items are for sale for L$10 or less, here are my offerings all at L$10:

World Goth Fair 2012

I had my quota of events for the month already but when I found out about this one I had to do it.  As anyone who knows me will tell you the Sophie Lancaster Foundation is a charity that is close to my heart, as a goth myself I have often been given strange looks and had nasty comments thrown my way so the clothing I love so much has to be worn either with less gothic items or only to goth clubs/events.

'Naenia' Necklace, L$195, 100% to charity also Exclusive item, there will be another version of it in store at some point after the event but not in this colour.

Both 'Esdras' Chokers are L$195, 50% to charity and not exclusive so will be in the store after the event, I do urge you to buy at the fair wherever possible so the charity gets some of the sales.

There are some wonderful items at the event and I'm sure that even if you aren't into goth you will still find something you will like.

For Wear Gray I have made these bracelets and necklace and earrings set, both will only be available at this event and all sales are 100% donations to the American brain tumor association.

Swayland Easter Hunt 2012

Swayland has it's annual Easter hunt again and this year I am honoured to be able to take part.  There are 10 eggs hidden on the Sways half of the sim, 3 of which have passwords in them which can be used to claim the great gifts offered by Sways, Nonino and DCD.

Christmas Gatcha

I have added a Gatcha to the Swayland Christmas market for L$25 a go.  If this is popular I will make matching necklaces.

B.Unique with DCD

B.Unique is now open and DCD is very proud to be taking part in this wonderful event.

B.Unique is a group of designers who will take turns in creating either a new item or a special colour of a current item and will sell these at the B.Unique location for one week or until 50 have been sold.

Being the opening event the founders of this event have all created an item and they will be on sale for two weeks as there are five items out this time.  I am one of the lucky stores to be in the group of founders and have created an item completely different than anything I have done before.

This shabby chic style bow necklace is on a silver chain and is textured with a purple and flower cotton material.

The world cup is upon us

Yes it's that time again when hundreds of women become widows to the TV while their men are glued to the football.

As this mania sweeps the world goods of all kinds line the shelves to allow people to show their support to their favourite teams, this is why I have released a set of necklaces with the flags of all the countries that qualified for the 2010 world cup.

The one in the ads is the England necklace as I am English. The flag is set in a silver case and on a chunky silver chain.
