B.Unique with DCD

B.Unique is now open and DCD is very proud to be taking part in this wonderful event.

B.Unique is a group of designers who will take turns in creating either a new item or a special colour of a current item and will sell these at the B.Unique location for one week or until 50 have been sold.

Being the opening event the founders of this event have all created an item and they will be on sale for two weeks as there are five items out this time. I am one of the lucky stores to be in the group of founders and have created an item completely different than anything I have done before.

This shabby chic style bow necklace is on a silver chain and is textured with a purple and flower cotton material.

Something for the weekend

I have recently been accepted to take part in the 60l weekend sale and this is my first offering. The silver swirls have a twist to add extra interest to this necklace that is named after one of my puppies as she was harassing me throughout the build.

There will be a bracelet, earrings and possibly a belly ring to go with this which will be available in next weekends sale or as a set after both weekends.

The world cup is upon us

Yes it's that time again when hundreds of women become widows to the TV while their men are glued to the football.

As this mania sweeps the world goods of all kinds line the shelves to allow people to show their support to their favourite teams, this is why I have released a set of necklaces with the flags of all the countries that qualified for the 2010 world cup.

The one in the ads is the England necklace as I am English. The flag is set in a silver case and on a chunky silver chain.

Ladies version will be available if the demand is there, IM me inworld if you would like one.

Navajo style for the guys

New at the stall on Spirit Nations sim are these mens armbands based on the chokers for the ladies they have wood and turquoise bands with a silver disc containing individual turquoise and carnelian stones and finished off with 2 Tawny Owl feathers.

American Indian style comes to Dragon Charm Designs

Some of you may know that I spend some of my time with good friends that have adopted me as family on Spirit Nations American Indian themed sim. This has inspired me to create a range of jewellery based on the Navajo style.

These 3 chokers are the first in the new collection and come with Mod and Trans permissions. The wood and turquoise beaded choker has a silver pendant with turquoise and carnelian stones, one set on a black base. Each bead and stone are individual prims hand placed to give the slight unevenness true to hand-made jewellery Dragon Charm Designs is known for.

The return of the worlds worst blogger

Yes I admit I can't blog for toffee but I give it a go. I gave up on this blog back in January due to no followers which gave my pretty much non existent ego a battering, this has been followed by the stores not making any sales in about a month.

I'm a new face in a flooded market and it's hard to break into this when there are so many people taking short cuts and selling crap, it tends to put people off trying new stores when there are so many amazing popular designers out there. I spend a great deal of time on each and every one of my creations making sure I place every prim as precisely as possible and trying to add as much tiny detail as I can within prim linking limits hence the amount of time between releases. The one thing I can be proud of is that the few sales I have made have never had a single complaint and that makes it worthwhile.

So what have I been up to since the last post? Lots of background stuff, mainly attempting to get the name out to the public, with virtually no success I must admit, but with the general guidance of my good friend Tracy Rubble of **Trubble** I am trying a different strategy so fingers crossed.

This was my last release they are Leather chokers with a silver pendant and available in 8 designs which can be brought individually or as a set at a discounted price. They go with so much especially if you have the complete set, there's one for most occasions. There is also one of the chokers in the new Midnight Mania boards and only need 20 people to sign up to get it for free, I'll be changing the item roughly every month so keep visiting to make sure you don't miss out.

So where am I taking Dragon Charm Designs in the future? I'm currently working on a new Navajo Indian collection which will only be available on the Spirit Nations sim, I'm going through the thought processes of a few exclusives and maybe some limited editions. There is also a line of parent and child jewellery in the pipeline inspired by my sister due to give birth to a baby girl very soon and she's planning on taking this to the next level of having a child avi daughter when the time comes. So there is lots going on in the background and more in the design process waiting for me to build....watch this space...

It's been quiet at the stores of Dragon Charm Designs due to the fact that I lost my building space, I currently have a temporary building studio and hope to start building again very soon.

I have added a large version of the zodiac chain necklaces so they should now fit the men as well, so when you buy the box you should receive 2 versions a large and a small. I hope to do this with the Chinese zodiac set as well, also items such as the Ankh set will be released in a larger version for the men.

NEW RELEASE FOR THE ARTISTS VOICE BLACK FRIDAY SALE

As with all products from Dragon Charm Designs these items have been hand-made and the set, consisting of a necklace, earrings and a bracelet, has been made for the Artists Voice Black Friday Sale which started today and continues to the 30th November.
